PRESS RELEASE (for media distribution)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AURA: Launch Exhibition — October 10, 2025

This October, AURA opens its virtual doors with a groundbreaking new exhibition of immersive moving image art. Launching 10 October 2025, the digital gallery introduces a cycle of cinematic works by Sarnia de la Maré FRSA, alongside experimental text and sound installations that redefine the borders of gallery space.

The exhibition offers audiences a rare chance to step into an evolving body of work where film, music, and the written word converse with landscapes both real and imagined. Wide-angle moving images are presented with cinematic intensity, word pieces unfold in elemental spaces, and sound compositions resonate in unexpected places.

AURA will run as a permanent digital gallery and sales platform, presenting seasonal showcases of immersive art. The October launch marks the first stage, with Gilded Muse — a sister project of gilded sculpture — set to follow in November.

The Future of Immersion: AURA Launch Exhibition

On October 10, 2025, I’ll be unveiling AURA — a digital gallery space designed to make moving image art not only visible but alive.

This exhibition is about more than watching films. It’s about how art behaves when it escapes the traditional frame. My moving image loops will appear like fragments of memory, repeating and unfolding with the persistence of living things. These films are cinematic in scale but intimate in their rhythm — sometimes lingering, sometimes pulsing, sometimes whispering like an echo in the landscape.

But AURA is not just film. It is music experienced like weather, text that inhabits unexpected places, and the play between technology and the natural world. Imagine coming across a word not on a page but in the grass, or hearing a piece of music where you did not expect it. These gestures ask what happens when art crosses its boundaries, when sound, text, and image leave their usual containers and meet you instead in the open.

Some works will be housed in wide-angle digital formats that feel like movie theatre sequences; others will inhabit more surprising environments — autumnal glades, ceilings, outdoor light. I won’t say too much (the process is half the secret), but I can promise that each piece is presented as if it belongs not just to the screen but to the world itself.

The launch of AURA also signals the beginning of a new chapter in my practice. After years of working across performance, literature, and music, this gallery offers a permanent home for moving image art — one that evolves season by season. In November, the sister exhibition Gilded Muse will follow, a collection of gilded sculpture works designed to reflect light and permanence against AURA’s digital ephemerality.

What ties everything together is the belief that art should be an encounter — not something we look at once and move past, but something that stays with us, that re-appears in the mind like a loop, a rhythm, a phrase of music. AURA is that encounter.
